To “make it” in today’s music climate you have to be road dogs; willing to tour relentlessly visiting cities multiple times in one year; otherwise you get lost in the shuffle with bedroom recording projects that blow up for a second on the blogosphere. For the past six months Mouthbreathers have been mostly on the road supporting their loan seven inch record picking up fans and friends everywhere they go.This past summer Mouthbreathers, the Lawrence, KS band featuring members of Blood on the Wall and Rooftop Vigilantes, combines the 4/4 drive of Australia’s the Saints with the loud-quiet-loud warbles of the Pixies, blew the back door off of Le Voyeur with a quick 20 minute sonic atom bomb that would make "The Day After" look like a Utopian dream.
On Nov. 5th they return to Le Voyeur for a second round during a day off from their west coast tour with Seattle garage punk mainstays the Spits. They will be bringing their newly released single on In the Red Records in tow as well as performing several songs from their forthcoming In the Red lp.
This foursome of indie and punk veterans make their Olympia encore with the support of Olympia local-yokels November Witch (first show in forever) and Happy Noose. Nov. 5th. Le Voyeur. 930 PM $3.
